North Shore: Blue Oaks

141 single & 4 group sites able to accommodate groups ranging from 12 to 72, some shoreline sites as well as hillside sites all with views of the lake, some with shade, children’s playground, basketball court, 40 water faucets throughout, dump station, 1 restroom w/free showers & 1 w/paid showers plus portable potties throughout the campground.

  • Located on Northwest part of the North shore facility

  • Just a short drive to North shore marina store and café

  • Largest of all our campgrounds and many different camping experiences – family friendly sites with no alcohol close to playgrounds – beach sited sites for those with boats – group sites for lots of friends and family – or hill top spectacular view sites

North Shore: Eagle Beach

Boat-In Only!

3 single & 4 double secluded hillside overlooking the lake sites. All sites have fire rings, pilot poles & picnic tables. No running water, portable potties and some shade.

  • Located beyond the Peninsula Campground accessible only by boat

  • Boat ride back to marina, store or café

  • This campground is very secluded and great for party people

  • Must arrive 2 hours before sunset to set up your campsite ( no boats on the lake after dark)

  • NOTE** This campground is only accessible by boat. You will need to launch, and park at our North Shore resort.

North Shore: Peninsula

20 single sites of level shoreline camping, great for those campers that are self-contained, some shade, picnic tables, fire rings, no running water, portable potties, short drive to restroom w/shower.

  • Located just west of the Blue Oaks Campground on our North shore park

  • Smallest campground with less campers

  • Very popular with fully contained RV folks

North Shore: Primitive

As the name says, it’s twenty (20) single open shoreline primitive camping sites, great for those that are self-contained as there is no running water. Campers are permitted to camp as close to the lake as they like with no set boundaries. This campground has portable potties throughout the campground. Additional restrooms with showers are a short drive away.

  • Our furthest Northwest Campground

  • Primitive is very popular with guests that are fully contained and like camping without set boundaries. Set up your campsite your own way

North Shore: Rabbit Creek

13 single sites of level shoreline and 16 single close to shoreline camping. Ideal for those campers that are self-contained, some shade, picnic tables, fire rings, no running water, portable potties, short drive to restroom w/shower.

  • Located just west of the Peninsula Campground on our North shore park

South Shore: Arrowhead

27 single & 3 double of level camping areas, restroom w/free showers, some shoreline sites as well shaded sites. Each site has picnic tables, fire rings, pilot poles, 8 water faucets throughout campground. These sites are just short walk to swimming areas and additional restrooms.

  • Arrowhead Campground is located in the main area of the park. Take Camanche Drive, right on Beach Road then first right

  • Short walk to marina, store, amphitheater and additional restrooms

  • This campground appeals to those campers that want to be centrally located to all the park has to offer

3 single, 1 double & 1 triple very popular lakeside sites on a rise with short walk to the lake, some are shaded and all have picnic tables with fire rings. They are also close to either portable potties or restroom w/free showers, and 3 water faucets throughout campground.

South Shore: Miner's Camp

Miner’s Camp RV Park (Long-Term stay available) is nestled in the hillside and sits above the campgrounds. This park can be rented for up to 14 days or six months and is a short walk away from basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. There are no fire rings available inside Miner’s Camp.

  • Miner’s Camp RV Campground is located off of Bret Harte Drive close to the tennis and basketball courts

  • Short walk or ride to beaches, marina, store or amphitheater

  • Long terms stay are 6 months at a time-10 day out before return

  • All sites are full hookups featuring 30-50 amp electrical service, picnic tables and can accommodate up to 55′ long.

Showers and laundry facilities are located nearby. All RV’s staying within Monument and Miner’s Camp must be self-contained. Self-contained RV’s may also camp at North Shore. We also feature 20 undeveloped primitive sites (on-water) that can accommodate a tent or a self-contained RV.

Looking for other activities outside of the park? Lake Camanche is located within a half hour to an hour drive to three golf courses, multiple wineries, casinos, old town shopping, caverns, zip lines and lots more. See local attractions for additional information.

South Shore: Moccasin

32 campers, 15 single, 6 doubles, 1 triple & 1 quad site of level camping areas, some shade, great view of the lake from every site, restroom w/free showers, dishwashing station, laundry, close to children’s playground, short walk to the lake or marina store, picnic tables, fire rings and 11 water faucets throughout campground.

South Shore: Monument

Monument RV Park has 99 spacious sites near four small fishing ponds and the lake. Recently renovated this park is located at South Shore featuring full hook-ups including 30 and 50 amp electrical service, picnic tables and fire rings.

  • Monument RV Park is less than a quarter mile from the front gate down Camanche Drive on the left just before the trout pond

  • Fish the stocked trout pond

  • Lakeside sites for those campers with boats

  • Short ride to marina and store

South Shore: Oaks

A family friendly ALCOHOL FREE ZONE of 28 single, 1 double & 2 triple campsites under mature trees on rolling hills, restroom w/dishwashing station, picnic tables, fire rings, a short stroll down to the lake, and 8 water faucets throughout campground.

  • The Oaks Campground is located on the North side of the park just beyond Miner’s Camp RV Campground on Bret Harte Drive

South Shore: Riverview

A family friendly ALCOHOL-FREE ZONE of 26 single & 1 double campsites on rolling hills with mature trees with 10 shoreline sites. This campground has picnic tables, rings, restroom w/free showers, dishwashing station, and 12 water faucets throughout campground.

  • Riverview is our Northern most campground located on Calaveras Road off of Bret Harte Drive

  • Very popular with families with children

  • This campground backs up to unused EBMUD lands and has plenty of opportunities to view wildlife

South Shore: Turkey Hill

Turkey Hill is nestled in 16 acres of mature oak trees adjacent to the Mokelumne Coast to Crest trail staging area at Camanche South Shore.

It has 7 sites; 2 single family sites that accommodate a maximum of 8 persons with 2 vehicles, 2 trailers and 2 horses, 2 double sites and 2 triple sites that accommodate double and triple the single site capacity, and one quad site accommodating a maximum of 32 persons and 8 vehicles with trailers and 8 horses.

All sites have picnic tables, a fire ring/BBQ grill, a paddock for each horse, lantern stands and have close access to water. One of the single sites has wheelchair accessible facilities including a transfer platform to assist getting on and off horses.

The sites surrounding a group dining area with large BBQs, serving tables and picnic tables to seat 40 people, plus a group campfire ring with benches to act as an amphitheater and assembly area. These areas are also wheelchair accessible. This group use area also includes a regulation horseshoe pit. Other features of the campground include a horse wash station, bins for horse waste, portable toilets and easy access to the trail.
Showers, coin-operated laundry; an RV dump station and general store are available elsewhere in the park.

Equestrian campers, with trail permits, will have access to 28 miles of MCCT from the campground and can trailer their stock to Camanche North Shore for 5.1 miles of trail and a 3 mile loop. Work is completed on the MCCT segment that connected the trail at Camanche South Shore with the trail at the Camp Seco Trail staging area!

The camp is available by reservation to equestrians first and youth groups when not used by equestrians. Equestrian and Youth Groups will not use the camp at the same time.

Camanche Recreation Company is currently accepting reservations for the campsites and reservations may be made by calling a toll-free reservation line (866) 763-5121 daily.
